College

I will be a student at the university of louisville this upcoming fall semester. I will be in the j.b. speed engineering school where you can get your masters in five years. I'm excited to live on my own and have the opportunity to mature and grow. I'm hoping it will be a great four years.

Graduation

Obviously this post is about me getting ready to graduate high school. I have mixed emotions heading toward graduation. On one hand I am ready to go college, live on my own, and be in the real world. I feel like I'm ready to grow up. On the other hand I can't help but be sad and nostalgic thinking of my last seven years at Burgin Independent and that stage of my life is about to close forever. I realize though that our lives are constantly changing and its better to embrace change than fight it. I'm ready to graduate.

Sports career ending

Sports were are major part of my life, especialy in high school. A majority of my time spent outside of school was playing or training for my next season. although my school didn't have the best soccer program, I became a very good player, blossoming in my sophomore year and captaining my junior and senior year. Several smaller colleges in the Kentucky area recuited me but i weanted to go to a bigger school and due to not playing club i didn't get any exposure to bigger schools. I played basketball with the same group of kids in my grade from sixth grade. We became very good friends through our seven years playing together and went 22-9 our senior year. More important than our number of wins or our success on the court is the friends we made. I'm sad to see my sports career come to an end but am grateful for the person its made me into.

Changing schools

My parents transferred me from Mercer County to Burgin Indepedent when i was in the seventh grade and held me back. I was younger than everyone at Mercer due to my late birthday and i was having trouble fitting in with most of my friends maturing faster than me. At first the move to Burgin was a hard one, with me being very shy and not wanting to change schools in the first place. I faced many of the challenges discused in this video. Now I'm about to graduated from Burgin Indepedent and looking back I wouldn't trade my time there for anything. I've made some great friends and had alot of fun. now I realize changing schools was the best thing for me.
